(More customer reviews)The people that gave this heli bad reviews don't know how to fly heli's. I do - I've flown all of them, big and small.
The problem is that since people see a small helicopter, they think it will be easy to fly (which it isn't, if you don't know how to fly helicopters). i.e......whether or not you know how to fly a plane, the size doesn't matter, just if you know how to fly one or not.
There are basically three types of heli's available (unlike planes...unless you are talking about a 'plane on a wire', which is easy to fly obviously): 1) Heli's that go up-or-down, and turn the heli left-or-right, and 2) Heli's that go up-or-down-or-backwards-or-forwards-or-left-or-right or any combination of all of the above, and 3) heli's that can do all of #2 plus go upside-down (or '3d' as we say)
This helicopter is a #3, meaning the hardest to fly of the bunch, but it just happens to come in a small package (in fact, this is the first of it's size to be able to perform in 3D.
That said - The bad reviews aren't helping ANY of the potential buyers here on Amazon choose the product accordingly - You simply cannot fly the machine you didn't have the know-how to fly in the first place. Stick to 'Air Hogs' in the future - You can fly those (or even one of the new small e-flite heli's that are available....please, please, please consult your local hobby shop - They will point you in the right direction).
Finally, if you are interested in flying a heli such as this, you should really consider doing what I did: Buy a Simulator (it GREATLY improved my understanding of heli flying....it's much cheaper than crashing & replacing parts) - I recommend Phoenix:
